🚨URGENT: Our taxes are being used to support an industry that is causing immense harm to animals, our planet, and our health. Animal agriculture is a scandal that cannot be ignored any longer.
🐄The cruel treatment of animals in the meat, dairy and egg industry is a direct result of our tax subsidies. This industry is also the leading contributor to climate change, deforestation, and water pollution, putting our planet in peril. Not only that, but consuming animal products has been linked to heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
🌍 We need action now. It's time for the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organisation) to position themselves clearly and to help to end subsidies for animal agriculture and shift those funds towards sustainable and compassionate forms of food production. We can no longer afford to support an industry that causes so much damage.
